Contship at the Ukraine Recovery Conference

A Contship Group delegation among the Italian companies attending the event: networking and international cooperation opportunities for the country’s recovery

Contship was among the companies present at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, a two-day event held in Rome on July 10–11 to support the recovery and long-term reconstruction of Ukraine. The initiative brought together over 100 government delegations, 40 international organizations, and a wide range of participants, including institutions, businesses, local authorities, citizens, and civil society organizations.

The main goal of the event was to raise public awareness and mobilize international investment for Ukraine’s recovery, reconstruction, reforms, and modernization. This includes emergency assistance, recovery projects, support for aligning Ukrainian policies with European standards and values, and the creation of favorable conditions for the growth of private enterprise.

The Contship delegation, led by Nicola Paradiso, Group Business Development Director, took part in the networking platform with the aim of developing new contacts and collaboration opportunities among Italian, Ukrainian, and international stakeholders.

“Logistics represents a fundamental pillar for the future reconstruction process of Ukraine. Over these past months, we have had the opportunity to engage in dialogue with numerous Ukrainian institutional representatives, sharing the importance of an integrated approach that combines infrastructure development with the enhancement of local skills. The project we intend to promote aims to create a logistics corridor that effectively connects the Ukrainian economy with the European one, while also supporting the emergence of a new generation of professionals in the sector. For this reason, alongside infrastructure planning, we consider it strategic to launch a school dedicated to training young talents, capable of actively contributing to the development of a modern, efficient, and sustainable logistics system. At a stage where the construction of infrastructure requires a context of peace and stability, training can and must start immediately: building skills today means being ready tomorrow, when conditions will allow the commencement of construction sites and the operational implementation of the project.”

The event marked a strategic milestone in the political roadmap for Ukraine’s reconstruction, promoting an inclusive approach that involves civil society and the entire productive system.
