Contship and Tanger Alliance together at TOC Africa 2025

Contship teamed up with Tanger Alliance Terminal (TAT) and successfully took part to the international event hosted by Tanger Med in collaboration with TOC Worldwide.

Held between 17th and 18th of September, the TOC conference highlighted Tanger Med’s pivotal role as the leading container port for Africa and the Mediterranean, acting as a strategic hub for global markets.
Over 400 participants from 66 countries—including 41 African nations—nearly 20 port authorities, and more than 50 international speakers engaged in discussions on key topics shaping the future of the sector: trade outlook, intermodal connectivity, customs harmonization, infrastructure investment, digitalization, and environmental sustainability.

The continued recognition of Tangier as the host of TOC Africa underscores the undeniable strategic importance of the port’s position within the Straits, and more widely within the Mediterranean, acting as an effective link between all main trade lanes” stated Peter Robino, Head of Commercial Maritime Terminals at Contship.
