Contship presents its first Sustainability Report: a new milestone in the Group’s ESG journey.

The report outlines the 2025 performance and provides a structured framework to measure progress and shape future objectives.

Contship presents its first Sustainability Report, covering the 2025 fiscal year and prepared with reference to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. The report details the company’s key performance metrics and its environmental, social, and governance impacts, providing an overview of the initiatives undertaken and the results achieved, as well as defining a framework
for future actions.

The publication marks a further step in the journey that began with the launch of Moves That Matter, Contship’s first sustainability strategy, developed on the basis of a double materiality assessment and stakeholder engagement process. The strategy is structured around three interconnected pillars – Climate Action, Empowered People and Responsible Leadership – which define the Group’s main areas of focus and guide its actions and objectives from a long-term perspective, contributing to value creation for the business, customers and stakeholders.

Climate Action
Contship aims to accelerate the decarbonisation of its operations, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen resilience to climate change, while also supporting customers in achieving their sustainability goals.

In 2025, the Group made concrete progress in this direction. After calculating its first carbon footprint, Contship recorded an 11% reduction in overall greenhouse gas emissions compared with its 2024 baseline and achieved 100% coverage of its electricity demand at the La Spezia and Melzo operational terminals through guarantees of origin from renewable sources. The Group
also formalized its commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative to define emissions reduction targets aligned with climate science, laying the foundations for the Group’s decarbonisation roadmap. Contship plans to formally submit its targets for validation by the end of 2026.

Empowered People
The Group promotes a fair, inclusive, and diverse working environment, empowering its people through continuous opportunities for development and engagement. The company is committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety while contributing to the development of the communities in which it operates.

In 2025, more than 13,800 hours of training were delivered through courses that combined classroom-based learning, digital platforms, and on-the-job activities. A key element of the programme was the “Climate Fresk” workshop for managers, which helped translate the scientific findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change into a clear and structured understanding of the systemic causes, operational implications and global solutions to the climate crisis. In the area of diversity and inclusion, Contship strengthened its governance model through the establishment of the DE&I Committee and launched initiatives focused on women’s empowerment. The Group also established a Community Committee to coordinate and strengthen Contship’s commitment to the communities and territories in which it operates.

Responsible Leadership
Contship promotes ethical business conduct, robust governance, responsible supply chain management, and transparent decision-making processes.

In 2025, a standardised Group-wide Code of Ethics was introduced, together with specific Model 231 frameworks for each underlying subsidiary, further strengthening the existing oversight system. To support an increasingly structured approach to sustainability management, Contship also established an ESG Board, tasked with strengthening oversight of ESG matters and their
integration into the Group’s governance processes. Contship also joined the United Nations Global Compact, reaffirming its commitment to operating in accordance with internationally recognized principles of corporate responsibility and to promoting these guidelines across its activities and relationships with stakeholders.

“As Contship, we operate within global supply chains, and this role carries a responsibility that extends beyond the boundaries of our own operations. It calls on us to work together with our customers and all value-chain stakeholders to contribute to more efficient and sustainable supply chains. This awareness is what drives our decision to further integrate sustainability into the way we do business, by defining priorities and objectives and measuring the results we achieve. I would like to thank our people, customers, partners, and everyone who contributes every day to the progress we are making. Together, we will continue to strengthen the business, creating new opportunities across the value chain and further building on the results we have achieved in this area”Matthieu Gasselin, CEO of Contship.

“In 2025, we laid the foundations of the Group’s ESG strategy, defining our priorities through the double materiality assessment and translating them into objectives and actions through Moves That Matter. This report allows us to consolidate the journey we have embarked on. Our commitment now is to continue measuring performance, engaging our people and all our stakeholders, and translating priorities into concrete action” Denise Sofia, ESG Manager at Contship.

With its first Sustainability Report, Contship is further integrating sustainability into the management and development of the Group, supporting long-term resilience, competitiveness and value creation across the value chain.
