Contship in Beijing with the Ligurian delegation for the 2026 edition of the CISCE

The Group is part of the fourth edition of the China International Supply Chain Expo to consolidate its presence in Asian markets and promote new opportunities for international growth.

Contship took part in the fourth edition of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), one of the leading international events dedicated to global value chains, held in Beijing from 22 to 26 June 2026, as part of the Liguria Region’s institutional and business delegation.

The mission, organised at the invitation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), was attended by the Liguria Region, represented by Admiral Massimiliano Nannini, Chief of Staff to the Regional President, and some of the leading associations in the logistics sector, including Spediporto, represented by its President Andrea Giachero and General Manager Giampaolo Botta, and Federlogistica, represented by its President Davide Falteri.

The delegation also included Liguria International, Agenzia In Liguria, Liguria Digitale, the Genoa Chamber of Commerce and Confindustria Genova, the Port System Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea and the Port System Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea, together with fifteen companies operating in the logistics, technology and services sectors. The Ligurian delegation was further enhanced by an institutional stand run by the Liguria Region, inaugurated on 22 June by Admiral Massimiliano Nannini in the presence of Massimo Ambrosetti, Italian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China; Zhao Feng, Vice-Governor of Hainan Province; and Lin Honghong, Vice-President of the CCPIT.

For Contship, joining the CISCE provided an important opportunity to showcase the Group’s operational expertise, infrastructure and development projects to an international audience, whilst strengthening relationships with operators and stakeholders in key Asian markets. Particular attention was paid to ongoing investments, including the expansion of the Ravano Terminal, with work due to commence by 2026, with the aim of increasing the Group’s operational capacity to support international trade. During the mission, meetings were held with institutional representatives and companies from the provinces of Hainan and Fujian, two strategic areas for China’s economic growth and for the expansion of logistics and port activities.

The event also provided an important opportunity for dialogue with leading global supply chain operators and major Chinese trading companies, helping to consolidate the international standing of the Ligurian logistics system in one of the most significant markets for world trade.

Contship’s participation in the CISCE forms part of the wider internationalisation strategy being pursued by the Group, aimed at consolidating strategic partnerships and fostering new business opportunities in Asia’s high-potential markets. With this in mind, the Group is already working on plans for a roadshow in the Far East scheduled for 2027, with the aim of further strengthening dialogue with key stakeholders in the region and promoting the opportunities offered by its logistics and terminal network to international operators, investors and stakeholders.
