La capitale francese arriva al La Spezia Container Terminal

La Spezia Container Terminal continues to be a favourite with customers and the Contship Italia Group welcomed yet another maiden call to their port.

This time it was the turn of the APL Paris which arrived last weekend. Built in 2012, the 10,000 TEUs capacity ship, measuring almost 350m in length, berthed at Fornelli West and is deployed, on the Asia-Europe Loop M (EUM) by APL, now part of the CMA CGM Groupe.

Roberto Scotto, Customer Services Director LSCT, commented “We are very pleased to commemorate the arrival of another maiden call LSCT. We continue to demonstrate our capability to handle large containerships and provide connectivity to key regions of Italy, which is good news for the Italian logistics supply chain. This continues to be one of our strengths and why the major alliances include La Spezia in their networks”

Before sailing on time, there was an opportunity to present Captain Uppili Kannan, master of the APL Paris with a commemorative plaque.
