New opportunities are now available at Contship’s mega hub in Gioia Tauro with the introduction of a Med – West Africa (WAF) service.
Operated by Mediterranean Shipping Co SA, the string offers weekly direct connections to various destinations on the West African coast, a further contribution to the existing portfolio of global destinations available via the port of Gioia Tauro.
Pictured is MSC Gina being operated on May 12th, marking the first official call of the WAF service at the terminal and the ship’s maiden call at Gioia Tauro. Captain Niko Markisic and his crew were given a warm welcome by MCT customer service manager Pasquale Papalia and Giuseppe Polimeni, operations coordinator of the agency Le Navi. Both presented the captain with a customized crest, as a memento of the day.
