On April 12th and 13th Contship Italia will be at the International Transport Forum – OCSE’s transport policy think tank – Roundtable in Paris, to discuss matters that involve supply chain efficiency, sustainability and innovation.
Marketing and Communication Director Daniele Testi will represent Contship Italia Group at the roundtable, entitled “Balancing Efficiency and Resilience in Management of Multi-modal Supply Chains”. Aim of the roundtable is to discuss the main trade-off between supply chain resilience and the ability to face environmental and social sustainability and security issues.
In particular, the debate will bring up topics related to cyber-security, corporate social responsibility and risk mitigation – also touching matters that involve innovation in supply-chain management through crowd-shipping, gain-sharing and sharing economy.
Four inputs will be delivered, three will be shared on Thursday 12th and one will be held in the morning of Friday 13th, with the following topics:
- Efficiency and Sustainability in multi-modal supply chains, Prof. Jean-Paul Rodrigue, Hofstra University
- The Mitigation of Risk in Resilient Supply Chains, Prof. Maritn Christopher, Cranfield Univeristy
- Innovation and technology in multi-modal supply chains, Prof Lóri Tavasszy, TU Delft
- Collaboration and Alliances in Supply Chains (Prof. Ruth Banomyong, Thammasat University)
