Tanger Alliance container terminal is identified as TC3, within the Tanger Med II port complex, geo-strategically located on the Strait of Gibraltar, within a free trade zone east of the city of Tangier, serving as a bridge between Africa and Europe. Tanger Med II port is the third phase of development of Tanger Med Port Complex, alongside the Tanger Med I port and the Passengers & RORO port.

Tanger Alliance container terminal is due to start commercial operations in January 2021, as a global transhipment hub and gateway for direct import and export volumes. With a quay length of 800 m, a terminal area of 360,000 m² and a water depth of 18 m, 8 Super Post Panamax (25 rows) gantry cranes with a lifting capacity of 65t, 22 RTG’s, 40 terminal tractors, and 4 reach stackers, Tanger Alliance is ready to operate on the newest and largest container ships, offering high productivity and 24/7 operations all year round. Tanger Alliance handling capacity is 1,5 million TEUs.

Contship Italia and Eurogate represent 40% of Tanger Alliance’s shares.
