La Spezia Container Terminal welcomes the new PNX service by COSCO

LSCT strengthens its collaboration with the Chinese shipping and global logistics company

Cosco Shipping Lines has added the LSCT terminal, part of Contship Italia Group, to the PNX service connecting major ports in Turkey, Piraeus, and Northern Italy. The connection is operated by Diamond Line, a subsidiary of Cosco Europe that manages intra-European maritime services, and it will be served by three vessels with a weekly Butterfly service.

With the addition of La Spezia to the PNX service, the presence of Cosco and Diamond Line at the terminal is strengthened. This confirms LSCT’s strategic position as a privileged intermodal gateway for northern Italy to the East-Med.

The new connection was launched in June, the vessel A Obelix, entered the port of La Spezia for the first time on June 22nd, docking at the LSCT terminal. The captain and crew were welcomed during a crest exchange ceremony.
