Contship Italia takes part to the Green Logistics Intermodal Forum, with a webinar on the new Genoa-Melzo Fast Corridor and a reforestation initiative in collaboration with Treedom The Green Logistics Intermodal Forum, the online fair dedicated to sustainable logistics and intermodality, will be held on November 12 and 13. Contship Italia will be present with an online exhibition space and a digital event on the new Genoa-Melzo Fast Corridor.   The new edition of Green Logistics Intermodal Forum has transformed into an entirely online event, which can be accessed, upon registration, on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 November. The event, entitled Post Covid-19 Logistics “A return to the past” or “transformative resilience” ?, addresses industry leaders in the perspective of new scenarios, investments and policies for overcoming the crisis. The first day of the Forum foresees the realization of two conferences with the participation of the main protagonists of Italian intermodality. The first conference is entitled: “The next decade’s Intermodality Infrastructures – Operational projects for the completion of the Italian infrastructural system”, while the second will focus on “The Padua Declaration – Together for sustainable and efficient logistics”. These conferences are accompanied by a calendar of technical seminars. On November 13, at 11 a.m., Contship Italia will hold a webinar on the “New Genoa-Melzo Fast Corridor “, which, in addition to briefly explaining what fast corridors and their main benefits are, it will illustrate main features of the Genoa-Melzo corridor, clarifying the processes and steps for using it. In line with the green theme of the Forum, Contship Italia has decided to launch a special initiative in collaboration with Treedom, a BCorp company that finances small agroforestry projects in rural communities in the southern hemisphere. Contship’s goal is to be able to buy 100 trees in just over 2 weeks with a call to action created on LinkedIn, which potentially involves all users of the social network. In fact, in the period between Monday 2 November and Sunday 22 November, the company undertakes to buy 1 tree for every 10 new followers of the Contship Italia LinkedIn page, thus contributing with a small step to green the planet.
