Contship and SRM present the new edition of the Report “Corridors and logistic efficiency of the Territories”, and the new digital start up driveMybox

During the event “Shipping, Forwarding & Logistics meet Industry”, Contship Italia and SRM presented the results of the fourth edition of the Report, which was followed by the presentation of the new digital start-up of the Contship Group, which combines demand and offer for container transport by road

“Shipping, Forwarding & Logistics meet Industry”, the annual event dedicated to the meeting between the world of logistics, shipping, transport, and the world of the Italian productive economy, was held at Assolombarda offices on March 9th, 10th, and 11th.

On Thursday, March 10th at 2.00 pm, Alessandro Panaro (SRM) presented the results of the 2022 Report “Corridors and logistic efficiency of the Territories“.

The study is based on a sample of 400 manufacturing companies, located in Lombardy, Veneto, and Emilia Romagna, and analyzes the logistical preferences related to the use of Italian gateway ports and the methods used to transfer goods to and from the ports, with a final focus on the metal district of Brescia.

The study also examines some topical issues in the world of logistics, analyzing the importance attributed and the actions implemented by the sample of companies participating in the survey.

This year’s focuses embrace the issues of sustainability, the resources made available by the PNRR, and the growing demand for digitalization in logistics.

And it is precisely speaking of digitization that Matthieu Gasselin, CEO of Sogemar, opened his speech and presented the new digital start-up of the Contship Group to the public.

driveMybox is, in fact, the first digital platform in Italy dedicated to the booking, management, and monitoring of container transport by road. It thus constitutes a concrete example of the growing and increasingly sophisticated demand for digitalization of the logistics system.
