Cecilia Eckelmann Battistello hosted at the “Incontri in Blu. Uomini, donne e storie di mare”. On Thursday, May 30th at 6.00 P.M., at the Galata Museum of the Seas in Genova, Cecilia Eckelmann Battistello – the Contship Italia Group President – will attend the the 5th Edition of the “Incontri in Blu. Uomini, donne e storie di mare” event.     On May the 30th, the “Incontri in Blu” event (which in Italian literally means “Meetings in Blue”) will actually be “dyed Pink” by Cecilia Eckelmann Battistello, who had already given a pink touch to her container ships back in the days, and her trains and trucks today, establishing her leadership in the shipping and logistics world, traditionally led by male figures.     Cecilia Eckelmann-Battistello, Contship Italia Group President     The free-admission event will start at 6 pm and it is the 5th meeting out of a total of 7 that have already hosted the free-diver Alessia Zecchini, Luna Rossa skipper Max Sirena, Spanish surfer Hugo Vau, gold-medalist yacthman Santiago Lange. The next encounters will be with Michael Bates – better known as Michael from Sealand, the entrepreneur that is also known the the Prince of Sealand, the micro-nation founded by the father Paddy Roy in 1967. Michael will tell the story of the articifial platform that was built by UK government which was proclaimed a Principality – minting coins and its own passports. Norberto Ferretti will then close the event on September 19th – also the opening day of the 59th edition of the Salone Nautico (a recurring national boat exhibition held in Genova). Norberto is the Co-founder and former President of Ferretti Group and he will be showcasing his passion for boats and life at sea.
