New arrivals at La Spezia Container Terminal As the autumn season begins, La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT) welcomes the latest maiden calls with the arrivals of Salahuddin and the CMA CGM Dalila   Named in honor of the famous leader of the Muslim military campaign during the crusades, the Salahuddin (14,993 TEU capacity, formerly operated by UASC) is deployed by Hapag-Lloyd in MD2 service, one of THE Alliance Asia-Med loops. With a LOA (length overall) of 369 meters, the ship berthed on Fornelli East on Wednesday 16th September, with operations completing and sailing on Friday the 18th. In the early hours of the following day, Saturday 19th the CMA CGM Dalila (8,469 TEU) made her debut at LSCT. She is deployed in the joint THE Alliance and Ocean Alliance, Amerigo service (also known as AL6, MENA, ATM1, ZCI by participating Lines) linking the west-Mediterranean with the US East Coast each week. Built in 2010, as with her sisterships she is named after prominent characters of Opera. The CMA CGM Dalila’s maiden call was operated at the Fornelli West berth, completing operations the following day.
