Tanger Alliance

The Tanger Alliance container terminal, located within the Tanger Med II port complex, is strategically located near the Strait of Gibraltar, within a Special Economic Zone, east of Tangier, in Morocco. Tanger Med II port is the third phase of development of the Tanger Med port complex, alongside the Tanger Med I project, and the Passengers & Ro-Ro terminal. With an 800m long quay, a terminal area of 360,000sqm, and a water depth of 18m, it operates non-stop on state-of-the-art container ships, it has a handling capacity of 1.5 million TEUs (nominal handling capacity) and serves as a global hub for transshipment and gateway for volumes of import and export traffic. Contship Italia and Eurogate own 40% of Tanger Alliance’s shares.
